Many CPN members live outside the immediate tribal community and may not have an easy way to stay connected, ask questions, or take part in ongoing conversations. Social media can be helpful, but discussions are often scattered, hard to search, and easily lost.
CPN At the Fire creates a more focused space where members can gather around shared interests, community concerns, cultural learning, and civic discussion.

Privacy and Independence
CPN At the Fire is a private, member-led forum. Access will be limited to approved members, and the forum will not be visible to the general public.
The site is independent from official tribal channels. It is not an official website of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation or its government, and it does not speak on behalf of either.
The goal is to create a respectful community space where members can speak, listen, ask questions, share resources, and support one another.
Founding Member Test Plan
The first step is to launch with a small founding group before opening the forum more widely.
The founding group will help:
- Test registration and access.
- Review forum sections.
- Start early conversations.
- Identify what feels clear or confusing.
- Help shape community guidelines.
- Test privacy and moderation settings.
- Give feedback before a broader launch.
Suggested first test group: 10–25 trusted members.
The goal is to build carefully, listen early, and create a space that feels useful, respectful, and sustainable before inviting more members in.
